Jurnal is a web based accounting software that is based in Indonesia and it caters medium scale enterprises and small scale enterprises that are based in Indonesia. On February Twenty Second, this startup announced that it went up the cycle of progression. The investments that were led by companies – East Ventures and Finox VC and angel investor Budi Setiadharma were also a part of this raise. How much investment amount was raised was not revealed by the startup. Anthony Kosasih the founder of Jurnal said that the raised funds would be used for expansion of business especially through partnership of the government institutions and other business companies. Jurnal the accounting software has features like asset management, invoicing, reporting etc. When it comes to handling of client’s data, Jurnal claims that it maintains privacy and security which is equal to International standards. This startup was launched in 2015. Jurnal claims that it has 7000 active users as of now.
Willson Cauca the managing partner of East Ventures that was facilitated by Jurnal, said that it is high time for the fifty seven million medium and small enterprises that are in Indonesia to proliferate their competitiveness in the economic community of ASEAN- the Association of Southeast Asian Nations by proper management and control of their cash flow.
The Jurnal company was started by Anthony Kosasih along with his friend Daniel Witono. Both Anthony Kosasih and Daniel Witone have experience in Information Technology. Daniel Witono worked for Microsoft and for local payment gateway Veritans.
There are other Indonesian startups that are competitors to Jurnal in providing web based accounting solutions like Akunting Mudah, Kiper and Hartkaku. Though there are people congratulating the Jurnal for the rise some area curious on where the 7000 online customers are from. But everyone is curious about the next step of Jurnal.
