Ather Energy, a leading name in electric mobility, announced the launch of its latest scooter range, Rizta, specifically designed for the family market. With a starting price of Rs 1.09 lakh, the Rizta series, comprising models Rizta S and Rizta Z, aims to blend functionality with eco-friendliness, catering to the diverse needs of Indian families.

The Rizta range is engineered to prioritize comfort and convenience, featuring flatter, wider seats and increased storage capacity, a nod to the practical requirements of family use. The scooters come in two variants based on battery capacity: the Rizta S with a 2.9 kWH battery offering a range of 123 kilometers, and the more advanced Rizta Z equipped with a 3.7 kWH battery, capable of achieving 160 kilometers on a single charge. Ravneet S Phokela, Chief Business Officer, highlighted the potential of the family scooter market, which sees annual sales of 3.5 to 4 million units, as a significant opportunity for Ather’s latest offering.

Accompanying the launch of Rizta, Ather Energy unveiled its new technology stack, Ather Stack 6, which introduces a suite of safety, performance, and connectivity features, alongside a new mobile application for enhanced user engagement. The company also launched two innovative ‘smart helmets’ under the ‘Halo’ brand, offering features like crash detection and navigation, marrying technology with safety.
Robust Infrastructure for Sustainable Mobility
Ather Energy boasts a manufacturing capacity of 4.5 lakh units per annum, with current production at 1.5 lakh units.
