AstroTalk, a pioneering spiritual technology startup based in India, has announced a groundbreaking achievement in its journey towards global expansion. The company has successfully secured a monumental $20 million investment in a Series A funding round led by Left Lane Capital, a prominent venture capital firm headquartered in New York. This significant influx of capital not only underscores AstroTalk’s burgeoning success but also signals a transformative moment for the spiritual-tech industry in India.
Founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta and Anmol Jain, AstroTalk has rapidly emerged as a leading platform connecting users with expert astrologers for a wide range of services, including horoscope readings, birth chart analyses, and live prayers. The recent funding round, one of the largest in the industry’s history in India, marks a significant milestone for AstroTalk as it prepares to embark on an ambitious expansion into international markets. The company intends to utilize the newly acquired funds for strategic acquisitions, the development of new business verticals, and the recruitment of top-tier talent to fuel its growth trajectory.
In a press release, Puneet Gupta, CEO, and co-founder of AstroTalk, expressed excitement about the company’s future prospects, stating, “AstroTalk is a ‘Made in India, Built for the World’ company, poised for expansion across the US, Canada, UK & Middle East. One-on-one consultations constitute approximately 95% of our revenue, with about 20% of our revenues originating from outside of India.”
AstroTalk’s strategic initiatives include strengthening its leadership team to spearhead new business verticals and implementing an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) buyback program to incentivize and reward its dedicated workforce. The company’s exceptional financial performance further underscores its position as a frontrunner in the industry, with an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of approximately Rs 800 crore in the fiscal year 2024 and a remarkable 100% year-on-year revenue growth over the past three years.
Looking ahead, AstroTalk aims to continue its trajectory of success, fueled by innovation, customer-centricity, and a steadfast commitment to empowering individuals through spiritual enlightenment.
